Faraday to Cecilia Anne Barlow   6 December 1861

Brighton | 31, Black Lion Street | 6, Decr. 1861.

My dear Mrs. Barlow

Your kindness reached us here this morning - so you will see how it is I did not acknowledge it before. I hope your party was a successful happy one. I do not think that any one could be otherwise where you preside. Jeannie thanks you very much for thinking of her[.] She says I think I should like to send my love - if I might - I look frowningly at her;- still I send it. My wife is not yet up but getting on pretty well.

With kindest remembrances to Mr Barlow I am Ever Yours faithfully and respectfully. | M. Faraday
