[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 7 January 1862

My dear Pole

I have had occasion to consult with Dr. B. Jones about an address to the Queen & fearing we should be delaying matters too long if we waited until next Monday three weeks1 we have been bold enough to appoint a meeting for next Monday. The Managers will be summoned for 2 o’clk P.M. next Monday (the (13th) & the Members for 2.30 oclk2. I hope this will meet with your approbation[.] I am about to write to the Duke3.

Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday

That is 3 February 1862.
