Faraday to Angela Georgina Burdett Coutts   17 January 1862

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 17 January 1862

My dear Miss Coutts

Can you pardon the carelessness of your unfortunate Servant and can you rectify it. In the midst of my rejoicing in the happiness of a group of little ones I find I have mislaid your admission for next Tuesday 21st1. Is it possible that I sent it back to you with the other. Being (as I believe it was) in the envellope I fear that a new servant may have mistaken it & disposed of it with the contents of the Waste paper basket. Can you help me[.]

Ever Your faithful Servant | M. Faraday
