Faraday to James Timmins Chance   11 February 1862

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 11 Feby 1862

My dear Mr Chance

I have no objection in the world to a direct reference to the Sea horizon & to that alone in Clause 111. It was only because the D.M.2 seemed to require something more precise than “the proper angles”. Write what you please for you know best what a Manufacturer may require & ought to be told. All the other points are clearly good & important.

Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday

J.T. Chance Esqr | &c &c &c

Does “Handsworth” mean “Hamstead”?

See letters 4131 and 4126 (and note 1).
