Faraday to Henry Bence Jones   13 March 1862

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 13, Mar 1862

My dear Dr. B Jones

Your letter1 is exceedingly kind - and when a good time comes over me I feel as if I might do all you wish it is when I am down I doubt and I think it possible that if I should be depressed at the time I might fail. I know the kindness around me would not fail but one wishes to avoid a sensation2[.]

Let things stand as you put them - and trust that they will come right[.]

Yours Most truly | M. Faraday
