Faraday to Frederick Gye   21 April 1862

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | Hampton Court Green | 21 April 1862

My dear Mr Gye

I have kept your tickets (I hope you wont scold me) though I do not think it possible that I can go tonight, but I could not persuade myself to return them. I have not been able to call on you as I intended nor can I do so this week for I am going off to Newcastle but I trust to do so next week. Till when & always

ever thankfully Yours | M. Faraday
