My dear Mr. Chance

The Deputy Master1 has written to me under the impression that you mean to go with me to Dungeness and asks me to ascertain when. I suppose the Engines &c are ready. I must go at the beginning of a week & be back by or before the Thursday Evening. I do not want to be away long but knowing before hand I think I could arrange for
