I have just received information from the Vice Chancellor¹ that the ceremony of conferring Honorary Degrees has been fixed by the Council of the University for Monday June 9th instead of the 10th as previously proposed.

I hope this alteration will not be inconvenient to you or prevent your attendance on the occasion.
