Faraday to Benjamin Vincent   11 August 18621

Hampton Court | Monday | 11 Aug 1862

Dear friend

If you find when you reach home that circumstances are such that Mrs. Vincent can properly come & see us for a few days then I hope that you may be tempted to come & idle here too. Our wives want a chat together. As long as Mrs. Vincent stops, there is a home for you here, both by day & night. Mrs. George Barnard2 is rusticating (without her husband) near Guildford. I with Jane have the thought of running there & back on the Thursday3 - and I thought that you might like the notion of [an] outing in that way for a few hours with us but we are free for any thing that may be pleasant to you. If you come to us on Tuesday then you will stop here Tuesday night &c.

Ever Affectionately Yours | M. Faraday

Mr Vincent

I see I have taken the wrong packet of paper, but you will not mind. | MF
