I am directed to inform you that appointments have been made for Tuesday next the 23rd Inst. at Two o’clock with Messrs. Porter & Co1 for the exhibition at this House of the application of oxygen Gas to Light House Lamps of the ordinary kind, and with Mr. Brown2 for the inspection of a new Lamp suitable for many purposes, and I am to express the hope of the Elder Brethren that you can make it convenient to be present on this occasion,
