Faraday to Edward Sabine   15 October 18621

R Institution | 15 Octr. 1862.

My dear Sabine

Very many thanks for your report2[.]

I have kept your letter for a day or two out of a real wish to do what you desire:- but it would be utterly wrong & foolish of me now I have liberated myself to a large extent, to enter into duties which I could not worthily fulfil and which I should feel a burden to my mind & memory - but very many thanks to you for your desire[.]

Ever faithfully Yours | M. Faraday

Genl. E. Sabine P.R.S. | &c &c &c

This letter is black-edged due to the death of Margaret Barnard, see letter 4236.
Probably an offprint of Sabine (1861).
