John Pyke Hullah1 to Faraday   5 November 1862

Nov. 5. 1862 | 11, Devonshire Place, W.

My dear Sir

I am not sure whether I am right in troubling you; but I dare say if I am wrong you will forgive me. I want to borrow, for some lectures I am to give shortly in Edinburg[h], some of those noble diagrams which you were good enough to get done for me for my lectures at the R.I.2

I will of course take great care of, & duly return them.

I am, my dear sir | Always Your’s Truly | John Hullah

M. Faraday Esq

John Pyke Hullah (1812–1884, ODNB). Musician.
Hullah delivered a course of six lectures from 30 April to 4 July 1861 ‘On the History of Modern Music’, RI MS GB 2: 124.
