request that you will be so good as to inspect the Lighting apparatus constructed by Messrs. Wilkins & Co. of No. 24 Long Acre, for the Lighthouses now in course of erection for this Board, videlicet: at Shrimp Cay and Elbow Cay in the Bahamas.

Messrs. Wilkins have named Thursday evening, the 20th instant, as the time at which they will be prepared for your visit, and My Lords have requested them to hold themselves in readiness to receive a visit from you also before that time in case your engagements admit of your viewing the apparatus in the daytime, as My Lords understand that this is your wish.

I am, | Sir, | Your obedient servant

Professor Faraday. F.R.S. | 21 Albemarle Street.
