My dear Miss Coutts

We have received your kind packet and kinder note & we thank you very heartily for the wholesome and excellent things which the former contained[.] Ah what an admirable position yours is. Kindness makes me think of those that need it. and when I think of poor Lancashire2 I rejoice that there is you and many other large hearted such as you who manifest what the feelings between the brethren of one country should be and so give a practical contrast to those which working elsewhere form the largest part of our trouble3[.]

Our kindest remembrances to Mrs. Brown4.

Ever Gratefully Yours | M. Faraday
