Faraday to William Withey Gull   9 April 1863

The Green | Hampton Court | 9 April 1863

My dear Dr. Gull

I do not know what has been passing to day:- I put your note into my niece’s hands yesterday & shewed her your kindness & perhaps she may have been consulting you. I hope to hear tonight or tomorrow morning.

But I cannot rest content with the message I gave her supposing she should see you. For you have been very kind to us in our sorrow & have sympathised with us in a manner that surpasses in value (to our hearts at least) even the results and blessings of your skill. I thank you deeply & earnestly & so does my wife & Jeannie[.]

Ever Gratefully Yours | M. Faraday
