William Pigott to Faraday   31 October 1863

[Trinity House embossed letterhead]

My dear Faraday

Prior to testing anew the Hunstanton apparatus - the Committee think with me - that it would be more satisfactory for you to scan over the reports of the Committees on that apparatus - with reference to the compliance with your foci and also the remedying of the deficiencies by Mr Wilkins.

The object is for the EB to decide on seeing the apparatus with or without some qualification as to the errors now existing in it - and

believe me | ever | your sincere friend | William Pigott
