Faraday to William Pigott   3 November 18631

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 3 Nov. 1863

My dear Deputy Master

I have had to Communicate a little with Dr Robinson about the Fog Committee, and hope I have not said too much on the part of the Trinity House.

137.3 refers to the Athenaeums unjust report as regards myself2:- at the lower part of that page is the first letter that I wrote to Dr Robinson3.

137.4 is his answer to me4.

137.5 is my answer to the last5. Have I in the latter end of it said too much for the Trinity House? If not I should like to make it an official letter if I could; that it may appear in print should there be occasion for it hereafter. Please return me the papers 137.1.3.4

137.1 You have already in your possession6[.]

Ever your faithful servant | M. Faraday

The Deputy Master | Trinity House | &c &c &c

Not in Faraday’s hand apart from the signature.
This reported the meeting of the Mathematical and Physical Science Section of the British Association in Newcastle. Athenaeum, 5 September 1863, p.306.
