Thomas Romney Robinson to Faraday   2 December 1863

Castle, Parsontown | Dec 2. 63

My dear Faraday

Your letter1 followed me here after a circuit in chase of me.

If I know myself at all, there is not the least possibility of any unkindly feeling growing up between us. When such things spring up in scientific discussion, they come from envy and vanity helped by the devil and ought to have no place in a Christians heart. Yours I firmly believe to be good and true, and I trust, you think the same of me[.]

But that in no wise interferes with my doing all that it is right to do to get the signals, so I shall persevere.

Ever yours | T.R. Robinson

Dr Faraday
