My dear friend
Many thanks to you for your kind treatment of my dear Jeannie and myself. I should have been very glad to be with you last night but was far better away. I am so weary now that I shall be able to send nothing more than a dull unnecessary sign unless you will open your mind & think for me[.] I rise & then I sink again. I take Quinina but it does not act as it used to do - but Dr. Bence Jones does all that he can & is the kindest of friends[.] Things will improve presently[.]
Ever Your Grateful friend | M. Faraday
