John Lubbock and Ellen Frances Lubbock1 to Faraday   17 July 1864

Chiselhurst | 17 July / 64

My dear Dr. Faraday

I am anxious to write to Tyndall but do not feel sure about his address2, & should therefore be very much obliged if you would kindly let me know where he is, as no doubt you have his direction.

His last letter to us was from Pontresina, which however he intended to leave on the 20th.

Believe me, dear Dr. Faraday | Yours very sincerely | John Lubbock

Dr. Faraday | FRS &c &c &c

Do not forget your promise, that you & Mrs. Faraday would come & see us & our children, when the warm weather should come - you will give us such a very great pleasure.

Ellen Lubbock

Ellen Frances Lubbock, née Horden (d.1879, age 44, GRO). Married John Lubbock in 1856.
Tyndall was in the Alps at this time. See Hirst, Diary, 17 July 1864, RI MS JT/2/32d, p. 1682.
