This was for the hire of a piano from Broadwood and Sons for Hullah’s course of six lectures ‘On the Third Period of Musical History’ delivered in May and June 1864; RI MS GB 3: 38. The payment is recorded in RI MS Ledger 1858–1866, p.311.
