Faraday to Miss Crum   15 November 1864

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 15 Novr. 1864.

My dear Miss Crum

Do not despise my small attempt to thank you; or correlate in any way the pocket book which I send you with the comfort you sent me. I rejoice simply in the opportunity it gives me of calling myself to your remembrance and if I were not afraid of making some mistake would use it more freely in respect of Mr. and Mrs Crum1 Your Sisters & others, but my memory is gone[.]

Still Yours Ever & truly | M. Faraday

Janet (Jessie) Crum, née Graham (1801–1876, SRO). Married Walter Crum in 1826.
