Faraday to Mary Deacon   26 March 1865

Dear Mary

Come home & let us see you for you are not fit for the things that seem to be coming about you. You have had a wonderful life and have borne it well & patiently; have been a comfort to those about you, to your husband & by your letters to us at home but I feel as if the world was slipping from us and as if there had been enough of the wearing away process. Be patient & contented & come home I think your dear husband1 wrote me a letter but I forget what it was about as I forget all things. Give my love to him & say that it will be to us a pleasure to see his face again.

Your Affectionate uncle | M. Faraday
