Faraday to Henry Bence Jones   25 May 1865

Hampton Court Green | Thursday Morning

My dear friend

I am grieved to hear as I have just done from Mr. Vincent that Mr. Anderson is ill and directed by Mr. Potter1 to be at home and stay there. I would have come to town at once but my wifes anxious care keeps me here for the present. Tomorrow Morning I shall see you & if I can help you in his place2 I expect to be with you for instructions about ½ p 9 o’clk. I am anxious too about M. Simon3 & his appearance the week after next4. I wished too to put a ticket in course for a Mr. Dance5 according to the enclosed note from him, but have none here. I hope I shall be in town on Friday in time[;] he was I think formerly a member.

Ever Yours Most truly | M. Faraday

Dr. Bence Jones | &c &c &c
