Faraday to John Tyndall   9 May 1866

Hampton Court Green, | S.W. | 9 May, 1866.

My dear Tyndall,

I have received a letter this morning from Mr. Farrer of the Board of Trade, and in it he tells me of his interview with you, and of your ever kind readiness to assist me. I expect I shall be at home on Friday1, and shall then hope to see you; but in the meantime I must send a few lines to say that I accept, as frankly as you offer, your help to me, in giving an opinion on these lighthouse apparatus.

I am, my dear friend, | Yours very truly, | M. Faraday

Dr. Tyndall, | &c. &c. &c.

Endorsement: in Miss Barnard’s handwriting but signed and addressed by Faraday
