The first letter contains the results of good experiment plainly described and is very interesting though the phenomena want to be reduced to some general principle[.] In the experiments made with acids the effects would depend (with the same metal) on the extent of surface immersed at each end of the pieces. I have seen the expts in print. I think in the Bibliotheque Universelle & perhaps in Brewsters Journal. The other letter contains nothing worth printing.
