Faraday to Henry Bence Jones   After 1853

My dear friend

My wife will not let me come to you & I shall be very grieved if you come here - I only want to ask whether you would wish me to take any thing to settle the stomach - I have taken Carb [word illegible] - occasionally & have your medicine for tomorrow morning but flatulence and bile come on very often & I do not feel as if I could lye down without much chance of vomiting[.] The stomach feels very rebellious - food I have taken but little - Jane is coming to you & will bring your orders if she finds you at home if not never mind[.]

Affectionately Yours | M. Faraday

Dr B. Jones | &c &c
