My dear Sir

Very many thanks for all your kindness respecting the Colchester Roman remains. Most truly as I agree with you that 'any price you place' means no price.

I have marked off in the list (accompanying) which we should not wish to have, all the rest we should be glad of. Perhaps - as you have managed so well for us hitherto, - kindly you would further aid us by procuring the specimens, and having them sent, directed to me.
