My dear Sir

I have your note and have sent this afternoon to the Roy. Soc. for the birds which I have just unpacked. I shall be very glad to get Leadbeatter or some other person to set them up as you wish and will moreover superintend their being done myself; before putting them in hand, however, I write a line to say that you have chosen a most expensive kind of case: a square one with glass all round being very much more costly than if you were to put them into two round glass cases with black stands: the hybrids in one and the albinoes in the other; these might be a little larger than now required so as to admit of additions to their contents: this is how I should recommend their being done. Please to send a line saying if this plan will meet your needs and

Believe me ever

My dear Sir

Yours most truly

J. M. Gould
