My dear Professor
In preparing for the Educational Museum I have today reached your exhibition case of Paris & find the objects much less damaged than I had expected. At the same time such an instructive collection should be put into the best possible condition. We would gladly bear the cost of this if you would kindly superintend its restoration. Perhaps when you next come to town you will call & look at the Case & suggest any measures which may occur to you for rectifying the injuries sustained by the specimens.
Yours truly
Lyon Playfair
