My dear Henslow

I am exceedingly gratified by your kind letter and the accompanying documents. In sending me your very interesting and instructive Address at the Ipswich Museum you have really returned χιωσεα χαλκειων. The other is, in a different point of view, coming nearer home to my special practical occupations equally suggestive and valuable. I prize both most of all as marks of your continued kindness and regard.

Believe me

Yours most truly

C. St Davids
