Northd House
12th May 1846
Reverend Sir
I have been confined lately by an attack of gout which has prevented me from acknowledging the receipt of your letter and Pamphlet on an earlier day.
The removal of the Horticultural Garden to a better situation is a work in which I feel great interest, and I will write to The Vice Chancellor on the subject.
I am
Reverend Sir
Yours very truly
Northumberland
