To J. C. Dale 2 May 1828

Cambridge

2 May 1828

My dear Dale,

I am so busy with my lectures that I can hardly find time to write. I told Deck to acknowledge the receipt of the 5£ for me - & now write merely to say that I had misunderstood your former letter in supposing you meant that you had withdrawn from the Phil. Soc. when I now find you meant your name only from the College boards. I find you are a life subscriber & therefore a life Fellow of the Society which does not exclude any Cambridge man who has once graduated

Yrs ever truly
