To J. C. Dale 29 December 1851

Hitcham, Hadleigh, Suffolk

29 Decr. 1851

My dear Dale,

I believe I am indebted to you for a notice of the Dorset Nat. History Society which came to me after a few wanderings in the enclosed envelope addressed to Norfolk instead of Suffolk. I suppose you sent it as a return to a notice I forwarded you about a typical series we are establishing in the Ipswich Museum & hope to see copied into all provincial museums with such alterations & improvements as may be locally appropriate. You mention Wollaston. I hope he has pretty well reestablished his health. I don't know where he is to be found or I would send him one of our circulars on the chance of finding him willing to lend a helping hand. A few common things typical of the chief groups is what we most want - but any named specimens are serviceable to us.

Ever yrs truly

J. S. Henslow
