To George Knights

[Hitcham]

My dear Knights,

I don't know whether Sowerby's information is likely to be of use to anyone at Ipswich - but if you think it is you can let them know. I expect Wollaston (the Entomologist) tomorrow & as he returns to London on Monday I shall suggest going to Ipswich in his way thither, & if so I will bring him over in the morning. I will forward the Elephant's Skull now that it has [illeg.] done duty here! & will bring the Spiders with me

Yrs truly

P.T.O.

I have just been asked to Lecture at Harwich by a "Mr D [illeg.]" - but am compelled to decline. Has Ld A. H. fixed his day? I sent him the possible days & told him to write direct to you.

Yrs very truly

J. S. Henslow

P.S. Can I borrow a work on the fur trade in Ipswich? As "Ross's Fur hunters" or "Traits of Indian life by a fur trader"? - or can you find out if there happens to be 2d. hand copies of such at the Booksellers. I want it for my lecture.
