To George Knights 15 February 1854

Hitcham H. S.

My dear Sir,

I forgot to give you C. Jenyns address for the official letter of thanks. The enclosed note will show how much people look for such notice of their specimens being received. When you have read it you may burn it.

"Thanks for coloured drawings of animals typical of leading Groups of Mammalia" to

C. Jenyns Esq.

Spring Grove

Wye

Kent

I prepared about half the specimens I brought away last night - ready for being glued down. I think I shall be able to continue to be at Ipswich at Rigauds next lecture & to bring them all with me. I have felt no further ill effects from my overexertions

Yrs truly

J. S. Henslow
