To George Knights 31 July 1854

My dear Sir

Mr King has written to say a consultation will be necessary previous to getting to work upon the Mineral Catalogue & I have written to him to say I will be in Ipswich at the the Museum on Thursday by the train that arrives at 1:50 & that I will leave at 7.0. He will fix the time for my being at his house & till then I can come to the Mus. & have a word with you. There is something needed about the Types, but whether he wishes to consult with you & Mr Jackson also I do not know. I have made a few memoranda on the Circular, as you will see. I observe you have only the name of one of the Westerry[?] on the list, but whether he is father or son I don't know. I would advise circulating this largely. You can get the type a little altered where I have made suggestions. You can keep a list of the Gentry & Clergy by you for such purposes, the latter to be obtained thro' the Clergy list. Depend upon it, my experience of this sort will be amply repaid. People need having such matters thrust continually under their noses. Our Cambridge trip turned out a perfect success. I have not heard a single murmur & all seem to have been unusually delighted. I will bring you a Programme I had printed for the occasion & illustrated. We had a large body of Farmers, & for the first time the Baptist dissenters of their party joined us. We sat down 283 to dinner

Very truly Yrs
