To George Knights 3 January 1855

H. H. S.

3 Jany 1855

My dear Sir,

I propose being in Ipswich (via Stowmarket) tomorrow by the Norwich train due at 3.10 & to bring the rest of the Wasp Illustration & one or two other things for the Mus. My study floor is completely covered by 3 large palm leaves I am preparing for next Lecture. I was called away last week to a funeral in London which has thrown me back with work & I have not yet found a spare morning for another Notice. A happy new year to you

Very truly yrs

J. S. Henslow

Mr Dean has kindly offered a bed on Thursday & I will to reach Woodbridge on Friday morning before noon.
