To George Knights 29 June 1855

Hitcham Bildeston Suffolk

29 June 1855

My dear Knights,

I am sorry I missed you yesterday, but I should not have had time to have looked over the proofs, as we had to hurry on to the Train. I now return them corrected, but of course too late for this week. I think it could be conveniently continued, it would be better that a small portion should appear weekly, rather than so much at once. If Tuesday is a fine day I think I will take a Market train ticket, as I want to look out a few objects for my 11 July show. I think a few curious reptiles as Rattlesnake, Iguana, that can be packed up without danger. I asked Baker to ask you to settle the home account for me & I will repay you on Tuesday, or you can have the a/c ready for me. There is a misprint in my Hitcham plants which should be corrected. The line under the Order I believe this should be above as these are strictly Corollifloral not Calycifloral. Tell Dr D. to correct the copies he takes.

Believe me

Very truly yrs

I think Mr Cobbold of Trimley is inclined to join the Club. The first business should be to read what Mr Kingsley has said in his Glaucus should be the character of a real Naturalist. I have only seen it in the Literary Gazette of last week. I hear of the doings of similar clubs at Bath & I. of Purbeck this week

Don't forget to enter the case in the Notice about Wasps nests
