To George Knights 6 July 1855

Hitcham Bildeston Suffolk

6 July 1855

My dear Knights,

I am sadly disturbed for want of the corrections to my Hitcham plants. There are more than 6 correspondents letters waiting for immediate answer till I can enclose them a copy. Possibly the office has again neglect to put Suffolk on the packet, & the Post Office Authorities being still ignorant that there is a Hitcham so near Ipswich my labels may be on their travels. On looking over the slips of Museum Notices, with a view to forward copies to Miller &c. I cannot find any of the three following sets & fancy I have never received them as they are not consecutive & I always put them in one place. But still it is possible I may have mislaid them, & if so they will turn up again some fine morning. If you have any of these to spare I shall be glad of them. The (at present) missing strips are for Notice 34. Species (88 to 105) & (156 to 193) & (278 to 323).

Yrs very truly
