Dear Knights,
The Coach took me direct to the station this morning - so I could not see you. Mr Cobbold of Frimley is sending me a lot of Whales Ears which I propose exhibiting "en masse" on the 19th. He will send to the Museum to be forwarded by Webb - if you please. His Father will send to the Museum a lot of bones &c shortly & when I next come we will arrange about what are to be kept & [illeg.]. Our visit to the pits yesterday filled my Carpet bag, [illeg.] and a basket. I brought home about 70 [illeg.] & Mr C. is to send me above 100 more. The mass will make a curious feature in the Marquee. I promised my School Children some Angelica as a botanical sweetmeat. Would you be kind as to procure me about 2/6 worth & either send it with the box or bring it with you on the 19th? I find a Son in Law of Mr Cobbold's of Woodbridge much devoted to Natural History, & the Father has no doubt he will make a valuable corresponding member of the Club.
Very truly yrs

P.S. The Journal has made my sister daughter to her first cousin! Misspelt the locality of her husband & spelt Henslow in 2 ways!!! Revd E. P. H. is alive, & my father was J. P. H. Esqr of St Albans!!
