To George Knights 21 September 1855

21 Sept 1855

My dear Knights,

We had a capital day - with much company - & I think you wd have liked it, if you had come over. I packed up the specimens yesterday myself & hope they will get safely back. As I understand that I might retain any of Mr Corder's specimens at the prices named in the list I have kept back the value of 6/6 & would thank you to arrange this for me till we meet. I had a lot more from Sir W. Hooker, & luckily all (except the water tap) were different, so there was quite a display. If I am wrong in retaining the specimens I will bring them with me when I next come to Ipswich. I am just going to the Stowmarket Meeting

Yrs very truly
