My dear Rigaud,
Your letter has intercepted me as I am returning from Paris. I named 4 subjects to Dr D. Not Knowing the days appointed for Lectures I can only say I think the same plan as last year wd suit me. As I shall have to make a few diagrams I should like to have a few days for preparing the 1t lecture, & as I have to examine in London on Nov. 2d I shd not wish my 1t Lecture to be given at Ipswich before Nov. 12. Beyond these restrictions I have nothing to say in objection to any arrangements the Committee may wish to make. Many thanks for your proferred hospitality. I will write to Sidney & promise that more notice shall be given of his approach another time. We have had our house completely full of Hooker's family during his own trip for the summer on the continent which has prevented my renewing our invitation to Miss R. as we had hoped to have done at our 2 fetes. Kind regards [illeg.]
Ever yrs truly
