My dear Knights
In looking up the Museum Notices for Tennant Reeks &c I find two steps have been omitted - one begins with species 3 to 8 - & ends with 391 - & the other from 392 to 400. You gave me the two last lately printed - but these two I have never received.
I have been looking over the Mazatlan shells & roughly sticking them on brown paper so that they may be placed in the new cases in drawers for a while. But they will all require to be washed & restuck properly. I am taking several shells to town to get L. Reeve to name them. The hope of the 1d rate sets me work to fill the new drawers which it will allow us to purchase. The missing notices will probably turn up in the President's corner, if you have secured such a place for his memoranda. I go to town tomorrow till Saturday. Ld A. Hervey has not yet replied - but the Secy. Mr Jones seems to think there will be no difficulty in my securing a substitute for one lecture. I prepared the nest of V. Holsatica.
Yrs very truly
