To George Knights 25 November 1855

Hitcham, Bildeston, Suffolk

25 Nov 1855

My dear Knights

We are at Cross purposes. I had written to Ld A. Hervey 2 days ago to suggest his exchanging with me on the 22 Jany. April wd be no exchange as I never intended to lecture then. I shall thus be giving what I proposed 3 lectures - 2 by myself & one by the mouth of Ld Hervey at Ipswich & by my own mouth at Bury. I have proposed one lecture at Hadleigh & one at Bildeston so that 5 more before I go to Cambridge is at least as much as I can well manage. If Sidney won't come on April 1t ask him which of our days will suit & get some one to exchange with him for April 1t. This seems a straightforward way of proceeding.

Ever yrs truly
