My dear Knights,
I have just received the enclosed. It may be as well to unpack these articles & range them somewhere in the cellar or out of the way till I can inspect them. As many are intended for Cambridge I must share the expense of transport - but I thought it best to send them direct to Ipswich, & will come over as soon as I can after knowing all is ready for me, & select for the Museum what may be considered useful. I have to lecture at Bury on Tuesday & shall be work much occupied till after that day - but hopefully I might return on Wednesday by way of Ipswich & look over the articles as I go thro. If so I shall probably send over my Chaise to wait for me at Shorting's. I use precisely the same calico as you do. I did not mean to care about Grinwood's money, as you have an item to my credit for the paper. Also put down in my Corner that you credit me for the glass jars I left. These things escape one's memory if not recorded in black on white. I shall mount a set of Diagrams by 3 on one piece of calico. Thank you for your kind offer to mount a set, but I think I need hardly trouble [you].
Yrs very truly
