To George Knights 18 February 1858

My dear Knights,

If there happen to be any of the Programmes left I should like them as I find them called for - as examples of a plan of diffusion. I sent several to Messrs mythical. I fancy the Bury people have forgotten that I am to lecture there on Tuesday, or have concluded that I do not. If I go I propose returning on Wednesday by way of Ipswich that I may inspect the S. K. specimens (have they arrived?) & go on with Hooker's.

Very truly yrs

P.S. Wilson says the lamps won't smell when properly attended to. I suspect the smell arose from my having spilt some of the oil. What did Silbourne say was the price of his Paraffine & the price of wax? Was it 2/8 per lb? I fancy the Belmontine are intended to vie with spermatic. What is that per lb?
