1 Pembroke Place, Cambridge
21 April 1858
My dear Knights,
I presume you are returned by this time - & I beg to offer you my sincere congratulations on the auspicious event which has taken place. On my return from Cambridge I shall hope to be introduced to Mrs Knights. Mr Reekes informed me he had a good piece of flexible sandstone for the Museum - & I wrote to him to forward it directed to the Museum. I hope it has arrived. I send you by this post my annual parish accounts & the few pp. of Illustrations. I find the Diagrams afford matter for filling in above 50 Schedules - & I have engaged my 5 first class girls to prepare sets at 6d the set for anyone who may care to have a set to refer to - to ensure them accuracy if they wish to attack the Diagrams in this instructive way. I have sent copies of the Illustrations to Dr Drummond, Dr Webster, R. Ransome. Is there anyone else in Ipswich likely to take up the subject for a School?
Yrs very truly
J. S. Henslow
Your friend Catt never wrote as he promised to do. We return home in 5 weeks.
