To George Knights 28 April 1858

1 Pembroke Place, Cambridge

28 Apr 58

My dear Knights,

I quite forgot to thank you for the Cigars. They will make interesting prizes, as I find they are needle-cases. I put one in my mouth at the school & looked very sober as if I was smoking to the great surprise of Miss R. & the children, who stared at me as if they thought I had lost my wits. I sent Mr Evans a copy of the illustrations - & I send by this post to your address half a dozen copies of explanations. Be so good as to distribute 1 to Dr Drummond, 1 to Mr Evans, 1 to Mr Silburne, 1 to Mr Webster, to each person I sent the Illustrations. The other 2 may serve for your private digestion. If the Unitarian Clergyman (I forget his name) would care to have a copy perhaps you will give him one as from me. If others are wanted I can send some more of the Explanations

Yrs truly
