To George Knights 6 August 1858

Hitcham Bildeston Suffolk

6 Augt 1858

Dear Knights,

Mr Thompson of Offton has asked me to enquire about the baptismal woodcut which I lent your Brother, as he wishes to have copies suitable to his Church. I don't know whether your Brother continues to strike off such. If not perhaps he will be so good as to return me the block. If he does I can send Thompson word to that effect, & he can apply to him for copies. I must be away next week from Monday till Saturday - but a letter addressed to me at Dr Hooker's Kew will find me there on Wednesday as I shall sleep there that night. We have just had our School Inspection, & examination & fete. All has gone off satisfactorily.

Yrs very truly

J. S. Henslow

I trust you recd the fossils from Dr J. He wrote to me to say they shd be immediately returned
